russian Prisoners are deprived of payments.
The government has " changed " the procedure for lump sum payments for citizens who signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense to be sent to war in Ukraine.
Now such payments are not due to persons who signed a contract while in prison or a colony.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the corresponding resolution on December 28. The document was published on the legal acts portal on December 30 and will enter into force on January 1, 2025.
The opportunity to be released from criminal prosecution with the help of a military contract became available to convicted persons in 2023. In March 2024, the State Duma adopted a law that allows suspects, accused and convicted persons for minor and moderate crimes to be released from liability.

🔸 In 2024, 1,358 people were returned from captivity, 3,956 during the full-scale russian invasion;
🔸 1,310 cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as 7,800 Iranian Shaheds, were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses during the year;
🔸 30% of the weapons that the Ukrainian military had on the battlefield in 2024 were produced in Ukraine;
🔸 Zelensky also listed Ukrainian missiles: "Palyanytsia", "Peklo", "Ruta", "Neptun" and "Sapsan". As well as Ukrainian drones: "Gor", "Vampir", "Kolibri", "KAMIK", "Lyuty", Heavy Shot, Fire Point;
🔸 Speaking about global support, the President of Ukraine stated that "from the first minutes of this war, America has been with Ukraine" and added: "I believe that America will be with Ukraine in the first minutes of peace";

🔸 He mentioned Moldova and Georgia as countries defending their freedom from the kremlin's influence. He expressed hope that Belarus would join them.
