⚓️ Anchor of Eagle S Tanker Recovered—Suspected in Damage to Undersea Cables Between Finland and Estonia

The anchor, believed to have damaged undersea cables in the Gulf of Finland, was retrieved from a depth of approximately 80 meters and handed over to Finland for further investigation. It remains unclear where the anchor was found and whether it is intact.

▪️ On December 25, the EstLink 2 undersea cable between Finland and Estonia was severed. At the time, the Eagle S tanker, en route from Russia to Egypt, was in the vicinity. The tanker is part of Russia’s shadow fleet, and espionage equipment was reportedly found on board.
