🔴 IDF: Over the past few hours, dozens of protestors attempted to break into the Tel Hashomer base during protests that took place outside of the base. The protesters managed to infiltrate the Adjutant Corps Monument adjacent to the base fence. Israel Police forces cleared out the protestors.

Breaking into a military base is a serious offense and is against the law. The IDF condemns this violent behavior and insists that the protestors be brought to justice.

The enlistment of ultra-orthodox citizens is an operational necessity and is being conducted in accordance with the law, and the IDF is determined to continue advancing it.

🔴 IDF: Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the area of Hila, the IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted an aerial target that crossed from Lebanese territory.

The siren was activated as a result of the launch of the interceptor toward the target and due to the possibility of falling shrapnel from the interception.

Following the sirens that sounded in the areas of Sha'al and Kela Alon, the IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted a suspicious aerial target that crossed from Lebanese territory. No injuries were reported.

Israel Fire Services are currently operating to extinguish fires that were ignited in several areas by fallen shrapnel from the interception.

Following the sirens that sounded in the western Galilee area, numerous projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon and falling in open areas. No injuries were reported.

🔴 IDF: Today (Tuesday), IDF representatives officially informed the family of Bilha Yinon z"l, that she is no longer alive.

Bilha Yinon was the last person designated as missing since October 7th. Since the start of the war, the IDF and specifically the Manpower Directorate, have conducted an extensive investigative effort via different teams in various fields to determine Yinon’s fate. As part of this effort, evidence was discovered in the area of Yinon's house that, after complex testing, enabled the verification of her identity.

A Ministry of Health committee of experts, consisting of representatives from the IDF investigative team, the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, the Israel Police and in cooperation with the Chief Rabbi of Israel Yitzhak Yosef, determined based on a combination of findings that Bilha Yinon was murdered on October 7th.

The IDF sends its heartfelt condolences to Yinon's family and to the entire community of Netiv HaAsara.

🔵 The evil Ayatollah and his terrorist proxies in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen have threatened to bomb Israel. To send a message of solidarity and support, I’m catching the next plane leaving 🇨🇭 for 🇮🇱.

It’s time for the world to stand up to evil. The timing of the October 7th massacre was deliberate. Precisely when Saudi Arabia was about to make an epoch-changing peace with Israel, joining Bahrain, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates in the Abraham Accords, the murderous Ayatollah and his Hamas-Hezbollah-Houthi terrorists decided to burn Arab-Israeli peace by igniting his war against Israel.

The head of the octopus is in Tehran. It’s time for the world to wake up and recognize that we will never have peace until the evil Ayatollah regime is no more.

🟠 7 U.S. Personnel, 5 Servicemembers and 2 Civilian Contractors, were Injured in yesterday’s Rocket Attack by Iranian-Backed Forces against Al-Asad Airbase in Western Iraq. 5 were able to receive Treatment for Minor Injuries at Al-Asad, while 2 had to be Airlifted for further Medical Treatment.

I voted in the primary. It's an open primary so I chose Republican. Chose some really bad Republican candidates. If you do that then if the Democratic candidate is good, he or she might get elected. Plus it gave me a chance to write in Mickey Mouse against Josh Hawley who was running unopposed in the primary.

The life of Volodymyr Maslov was taken by a Russian attack on the city of Toretsk in Donetsk region. On June 26, 2024, the enemy shelled a residential multi-story building on Lisniy Street. His wife Valentina died nearby.

Volodymyr was 67 years old. He was born in the city of Dzhankoy in the Crimea. In childhood, the family moved to Donetsk region. Volodymyr got married here. He worked in the separate unit "Southern mine".

He loved to read books about the development of the soul, in his spare time he did various types of gymnastics, and also meditated. Together with his wife Valentina, he lived in marriage for 44 years.

"My father had golden hands and a very kind soul. He is our home psychologist, caring and loving. He always helped people with advice and deed, knew how to listen and support," said daughter Inna Kravchenko.

Volodymyr Maslov is survived by his daughter Inna, son Serhiy, granddaughters Yana and Veronika, brother Anatoliy.

CONTINUES…
The AIM-9X is also present, a faster missile than its -M predecessor capable of pulling more G’s and manoeuvres more quickly and dramatically to deal with notching fighters. We’re talking 40G+ turns in flight which is a mind boggling number. It’s relatively short ranged and uses Infra-red.
Also shown is the AIM-120 AMRAAM, an active radar homing missile.
What that means is the F-16 radar can pick up an enemy at say 70 miles, fire the missile and the missile will find its way to the target without further communication from the aircraft or need to have the aircraft ‘illuminate’ the target with its own radar. The typical fire and forget approach. They’re said to be almost invincible at up to 50-60km but effective hitting ratios drop dramatically after that to under 40% and decline with range.
Ukraine was also supplied with additional anti-radar HARM, small diameter glide bombs and the larger JDAM systems.
The F-16 was not equipped to carry and was never fitted with StormShadow or its equals. It’s not impossible they could be equipped to carry one with modifications but it’s a very big missile and I just don’t see it on this aircraft type.
Other things that were being noted from the video were the runway that appears to be no more than a gravel strip. It’s entirely likely the landing gear has been beefed up to cope with non-traditional bases. We all know the Russians will be hunting these aircraft down.
I suspect they’re waiting to use their missile stockpile - they haven’t used them in weeks - for a strike against these bases.
Which brings me in to the field of the Shaheed drones. Russia has been sending these out with tracker kits and dummy warheads to scope out attack paths. They have also been using dummy warheads in some to act as targets while other drones try and get through.
Clearly they’re trying there best to find ways around defences and to waste defensive effort.
So a mixed bag of news but all of it good for Ukraine.
Meanwhile Iran is planning a war ‘to cross all of Israel’s red lines’. Expect it to start any hour.

HEAVY STRIKES INTO RUSSIAN TERRITORY

First I have to acknowledge that the Ukrainians themselves have announced that ten F-16 were delivered and are currently operating inside the country.
Pretty much a whole squadron, depending on how many you have in that grouping. Some countries it’s as few as 8 some as high as 12. Yesterday official video was released and deliberate fly-overs continued in Odesa and western Ukrainian cities, mostly as morale boosters.
The range and level of Ukrainian strikes against key Russian support targets in Luhansk and Donetsk continues whenever they can isolate a target of importance. Yesterday they hit several buildings around Luhansk that were linked to machinery repair for the Russian army, seemingly disguised and de-centralised. Ukrainian intelligence must have picked up a pattern of equipment moving from one site to another and they hit the entire complex of buildings. The resulting fires and explosions demonstrated they had clearly hit something of value, as smoke billowed skyward and fire raged.
The pressure on what’s left of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the supply effort for refuelling transports and warship in the Sea of Azov again reared its head.
In Sevastopol the Kilo class submarine that was damaged last year in a Storm Shadow attack, was sunk for good while undergoing repairs.
Last night the Azov port refuelling piers, the remaining operational fuel reserves tanks and much of the associated port complex used for transferring equipment along the coast and to Crimea, was hit in a massive series of attacks that have gone from simply disabling it to outright destruction. The oil tanks are ablaze as is the port itself.
Having gone from attacking the key parts of oil refineries- the cracking plant that separates the oil derivatives into different fuels, Ukraine has been concentrating on storage sites and tanks. Doing this becomes not only an incredibly difficult operation to put out for Russian fire services - they often can’t and have to leave it to burn out - but it can spread to other tanks in the right wind conditions. Either way such a fire usually means the whole site is unavailable and off line causing ever more problems for the refining industry. That in turn puts pressure on the Russian military and civil sectors as refined oil product like petrol and diesel prices soar at the pumps, and Russia is forced to buy in from neighbours.
Amusingly the devastated oil tanks in Azov were blamed by local authorities not on the visible and explosive Ukrainian drones but on ‘a cigarette thrown from a car window that ignited dry grass, setting an intense fire that spread into the oil depot’.
The loss of yet another repair site deep inside Luhansk has got to be a blow. Russian military vehicles are already far fewer that they were, their reckless and feckless use leading to such heavy losses. So when damaged units are repaired they contribute hugely to maintaining the war. And repairs matter even more when equipment gets scarcer. It’s unlikely just the buildings either - trained mechanics and stores of spares would have been destroyed too.
Each and every attack makes it more and more evident to Russians themselves that the war has come home. Their airspace is far from secure, their economy is under constant attack. Every day is more expense on things Russia has no money or means to easily fix.

So what do we know from the Ukrainian footage of the F-16?
First they were delivered with drop tanks that can carry an additional 360 litres each. The F-16 can carry as many as three, one under each wing and one under the centre line. That adds as much as 40 minutes of operating time, so overall could as much as double its operating range.

MAJOR ASSAULT ON KONSTANTINIVKA

The Russians have tried repeatedly to attack the town from the east, but have been repelled by Ukrainian defenders on three occasions in the last few weeks.
However over the weekend they launched an assault from the north, using the village of Pobeda they captured four weeks ago, to try and outflank the defenders.
Konstantinivka is reaching the point that Russian forces can come from the north, south and east, and its relatively isolated, surrounded by vast areas of agricultural land. Its capture would unlock a large area of territory that’s hard to defend.
Also, by approaching from another direction and moving quickly, the Russians aimed to avoid another manpower sapping frontal attack.
The manpower issue is becoming a concern for the Russians as recruitment dries up. Despite major incentives of 1.9 million rubles ($2,200) as a signing bonus from Moscow, plus regional governments being instructed to add another $2,000, plus $2,200 a month in salary - the three combined are twice the average annual pay in Russia and a small fortune. Yet few take it up, largely because the government’s reputation for actually paying up is atrocious. They often use contractual get out clauses to find a way not to.
So manpower is starting to matter to the Russians, after having burned out half a million men in wasteful attacks.
With this in mind, the Russians launched a major high speed armoured assault.
The advantage they had was the road from Marinka through Pobeda linked directly to the target.
However the Ukrainians had fortified a vineyard and terraces above the road to its west, giving them a clear view of anything coming down it. The Russians knew this and managed to destroy at least 1 Leopard 1A5 with drones while shelling the terraces. The knew there were other tanks there too waiting to counter attack, but couldn’t find them.
The main Russian assault was designed to push out the defenders from the vineyard and then open the way for the attack on Konstantinivka directly, having seized the ground to its northeast.
Video clearly shows the scale and speed of the Russian assault, but despite their preparatory attacks on the defenders, the column coming down the road found itself under intense fire, the Ukrainians launching everything they had in well coordinated strikes.
Russian IFV types are blowing up on mines, smashed by artillery and crippled by kamikaze drone attacks.
The few Russian troops who made it close to the vineyard were rapidly attacked by drones and Ukrainian defenders.
While all this was going on the Russians did manage to advance relatively unscathed a couple of hundred meters above the vineyard.
Overall the loss in vehicles and the complete failure of the attack came as another rude shock.
The Russians constantly underestimate the defence and do not have the capacity to attack in sufficient strength without a far greater force they seem unable to muster, as the almost continuous offensive they started in the spring is finally looking exhausted.

⚫ Before Iran targets civilians and children in Israel tonight or later, remember its past actions. Iran has attacked Saudi Arabia, killed half a million Syrians and one million Iraqis, supported the Sudanese army in displacing nine million citizens, destroyed Lebanon, and backed terrorists in Gaza and Yemen. Iran, not Israel, is the aggressor behind today's attack on the American base. This is why we must stand against them. The Muslim Brotherhood and Iran’s regime are part of the problem, not the solution. No Arab country will allow rockets or drones to pass toward Israel or any other nation—except those under Iran's influence.

⚫ The Houthis have begun their invasion of Israel, their first wave is here.. they plan to take Jerusalem!

⚫ On August 5 in the evening, Ali Jamal al-Din Jawad, a senior commander in the Radwan force, was killed. The assassination took place in the village of Ebba in southern Lebanon. Jawad was born in 1987 and is originally from the village of Zebqine. From the IDF announcement it can be understood that Jawad played a significant operational role in the Radwan unit and his elimination significantly harms Radwan's ability to carry out planned activities against Israeli territory and its citizens. The main role of the Radwan unit is to carry out special operations such as infiltrating Israeli territory, taking over territory such as communities and bases, killing and kidnapping civilians and soldiers.

Hezbollah has not yet made up it's mind how to respond. Meanwhile, Israel keeps killing operatives.

⚫ Multiple Hezbollah operatives were reportedly killed in an alleged Israeli airstrike on the southern Lebanese village of Meifadoun. Hezbollah confirms the death of one of its operatives, while Saudi Al-Hadath names another as Amin Badreddine, nephew of killed senior Hezbollah official Mustafa Badreddine who was accused of assassinating former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Al-Hariri. Lebanese media reports of another deadly airstrike on the village of Addeiseh.
