Hasidic Jews celebrate the Jewish New Year in Uman
Round about 30.000 Hasidic Jews pilgrimed to Uman this year to celebrate the Jewish New Year, which started with yesterdays sundown. The annual pilgrimage is dedicated to visit the tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, the revered founder of the Breslover Hasidim.
Earlier this month, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated, that „Russia’s ongoing full-scale military aggression against Ukraine poses real threats to people’s lives and safety, [making] it impossible to guarantee the safety of foreign citizens on the territory of Ukraine.“
Therefore, the ministry wrote, Ukraine “urges Hasidic pilgrims to refrain from this year’s pilgrimage to Uman as part of the celebration of Rosh Hashanah.”
The statement went on to say that due to the war, there are not enough bomb shelters or medical personnel in Uman, and the transportation infrastructure has been compromised due to shelling.

U.S. State Department Acknowledges Ukraine's Victory Plan
U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller praised Ukraine's Victory Plan, highlighting several productive steps within it.
"The Victory Plan is not just about Ukraine's actions, but also those of the global community," Miller stated. While Ukraine has yet to publicly release the plan, he confirmed the U.S. has accepted it and plans to collaborate closely with Ukraine on its implementation. Miller declined to provide further details, noting that it is up to Ukraine to unveil the plan.

According to the Kyiv School of Economics, from March 2022 to the end of 2023, Russia imported $20.9 billion worth of high-priority components for missiles and other military products.
VOVCHANSK UPDATE
As you know the Ukrainians have been successfully pushing the Russians out to the north or the town, and in an effort to reverse their failing position, they launched a counter offensive, largely aimed at regaining the aggregate plant.
Having been ousted from the plant and forced back several streets the Russians have started to dig tunnels to hide their movements.
In order to get their forces into a position they could not refuse to advance, they brought in Chechen Akhmat forces to act as barrier troops and ‘motivation’ to attack.
The fact they have taken to using these Chechens says a lot about the condition of the Russian forces. Depleted, low morale and bordering on mutinous, the Chechens are never happier than when executing troops who won’t comply and bullying the others into submission by setting ‘examples’. Actual fighting is beneath them.
The attack involved some 18 MTLB vehicles of the 82nd Motorised Infantry with Russians piled on top, racing up the roads between the rubble towards the aggregate plant.
Ukrainian drone operators of the 52nd Infantry saw them coming and they were wiped out. How did they ever think it would be so easy?
125 Russians were killed and injured with 17 of the 18 vehicles destroyed.
It seems it was around this point that the Russians decided to revenge themselves on the aggregate plant, still the most fortified and difficult obstacle in the town. If they couldn’t have it nor could the Ukrainians- hence the use of the massive OAB-900 Thermobaric bomb.
The huge explosion and the way that these detonations work must have been terrifying for the Ukrainians but they still hold the site and the Russians are too exhausted and poorly manned to retake it.
Yet again unimaginable dumb Russian officers are resorting to meatwave tactics when nothing else works.
This hasn’t helped the Russian position in Vovchansk in any way, if anything it’s made it worse.
The inconsistency in Russian officer skills is clearly visible in the way that is starkly different to what’s happened in Vuhledar.
There, Ukraine and allied generals agree, the Russian success has been innovative new tactics and a good strategy, designed to exploit the Ukrainian weakness - the inability to find more men and equipment to change the situation on the ground.
In Vovchansk it’s the same old throw men at it, then use a hammer to crack a nut and it still not work.
Meanwhile elsewhere, Russians still make slow but continuing progress, inching their way towards Pokrovsk.
Putin’s statement that he is not interested in peace talks and that he will continue the war until reaching his objectives - the four annexed Oblasts - in full, has now been reaffirmed.
He thinks he is winning - and he is, by any metric at the most important measure - he is taking land and has the frontline initiative.
That is the only metric Putin uses to gauge success. Until Ukraine can turn that around Putin won’t stop.
A professor giving evidence to congress the other day, I forget his name, said that he saw the whole thing as a mathematical equation ‘x-1’. X is what we should be doing to help Ukraine, -1 is that we are always one step behind and too late doing what needs to be done. Until that becomes x+1 things will only get worse.

A Russian drone flew near the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant.
The drone was recorded flying at a critically low altitude near the industrial site of the station at night, according to *Energoatom*. This is not the first incident, as drones have also been spotted near the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant previously.

🇺🇸 Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, has called on President Zelensky to immediately dismiss Ukraine's ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova. Johnson accused her of being unreliable and ineffective as a diplomat.
He claimed that Zelensky's visit to a weapons factory in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania was politically motivated and aimed at helping Democrats in the upcoming elections. Furthermore, he argued that Republicans were allegedly not invited to the event on purpose. Johnson believes that after Markarova organized this event, she lost the trust of Republicans.

⚠️Russia has secretly launched the production of strike drones in China, Reuters reports
The "Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant 'Kupol'" developed the latest "Harpy-3" UAV and has already tested it in China with local specialists. This drone can cover around 2,000 km with a payload of 50 kg. Additionally, within the next eight months, Russia plans to start the production of another joint development with China—a strike drone called REM 1 with a payload capacity of up to 400 kg, which will be comparable to the American Reaper drone.
During the summer, Russia already received at least seven drones from the Chinese base and launched large-scale production. The factory in China covers an area of 80 hectares and will be able to produce 800 UAVs per year.

The moment a Russian FAB-250 bomb hits a multi-story building in Kramatorsk on September 25
The final toll of the attack is 2 dead and 19 injured, according to the Donetsk Regional Military Administration. A 50-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman were killed. Among the injured are four children aged between 4 and 15 years.
The bombing damaged 39 multi-story buildings, 3 educational institutions, 10 shops, and 16 cars.
