Wouldn't it be great if France declared him persona not grata before he arrived.

Zelensky:

Together with Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, we decided that it was time to replace the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi has been appointed as the new Commander. Colonel Oleh Apostol – who previously commanded the 95th Air Assault Brigade – has been appointed as the new Deputy Commander-in-Chief.

Both are highly experienced warriors. This year, Mykhailo Drapatyi organized the defense in the Kharkiv direction, practically thwarting a Russian offensive. Overall, since 2014, he has been involved in the war on the most intense and critical fronts.

Oleh Apostol – a Hero of Ukraine – has held every command position within the Airborne Assault Forces; he has also been defending our state since 2014, and he knows exactly what is needed to enhance our army's combat capabilities. Now, Oleh Apostol will be responsible for the new quality of training for our warriors, and he will receive full support at all levels to ensure exactly that.

The Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the backbone of our army. And much depends on how effectively the structure of the Land Forces, as well as the entire Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine, functions. Changes are needed – changes in personnel management that will ensure better results on the battlefield.

Colonel Pavlo Palisa, a combat commander and Commander of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade, has been appointed Deputy Head of the Office. He clearly understands what is happening in the brigades, at the front, and I need just such a person to know exactly what is happening on a daily basis directly from the front.

And one more thing. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to develop our Army+ application, and in December, the National Guard of Ukraine is expected to join all Army+ services. In particular, this concerns transfers.

One of the main butchers of the war in Ukraine has been appointed deputy commander of the ground forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Colonel General Rustam Muradov to the post of First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Defense Ministry's Ground Forces, the general's fellow countryman, the head of the Tabasarsky District of the Republic of Dagestan, Magomed Kurbanov, reported. Z-channels later began writing about the appointment, but Putin's corresponding decree has not yet appeared on the official legal information portal.

Muradov's new appointment came as a surprise to many Z-channels, since his name has become a household word during the fighting in Ukraine. "Muradovshchina" is what the Russian military calls a poorly organized offensive with dense mechanized columns without engineering reconnaissance and without artillery support.

Muradov led one such offensive against the village of Pavlovka in the Donetsk region in November 2022. Soldiers from the 155th Separate Marine Brigade later complained to Primorye Governor Oleg Kozhemyako that the general had thrown them into an “incomprehensible offensive” to receive “bonuses” and a new rank, and that more than 300 soldiers had died as a result. In February 2023, Muradov was in charge of the offensive against Vuhledar. He threw the army into minefields and under fire from Ukrainian artillery, losing two elite marine brigades and 103 vehicles, including 36 tanks (according to Oryx’s calculations), in three days. Despite the heavy losses, the Russian army was unable to capture Vuhledar.

Muradov was removed from his post as commander of the Eastern Military District because “he was a crazy idiot who was capable of ordering soldiers to go to their deaths,” a well-informed source told The
Moscow Times. Military bloggers openly accused the general of irresponsibility, tyranny and incompetence.

Mykhailo Drapaty has been appointed as the new commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Oleg Apostol was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces

"Major General Mykhailo Drapaty successfully organized the defense in the Kharkiv direction and disrupted the offensive operation of the Russian forces.

Colonel Oleg Apostol is an experienced commander of the 95th Separate Assault Brigade. Both have proven their effectiveness in combat.

The main task is to significantly increase the combat capability of our army, ensure the quality of training of servicemen and introduce innovative approaches to managing people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian army needs internal changes to fully achieve the goals of our state," said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to DeepState, both have extremely good reputations in the military. Drapaty took over the "Kharkiv" OTU in May, stopping the enemy near Liptsi and Vovchansk. He managed to stabilize the situation. Then he worked at OTU "Luhansk", where he received many favorable reviews for his work. Apostol commanded the 95th ODSHBr since February. The brigade traditionally carried out stabilization in the most porous areas. In the summer, it stopped the enemy in Toretsk and then in August carried out successful offensive operations in Kurshchyna.

"When the driver-mechanic told me that the barricades were more than a meter high in front of us, he asked what to do. And I said that we are taking it by storm. This video went around the world," Drapaty recalled in an interview with Army FM.

This morning they showed Tuesday as start of the warmup. Now they show it as 22 degrees. I went out this afternoon and dragged 3 boxes of bone dry wood into the house from the storage building. I dont think I had better go out there until the warmup. My feet got close to freezing. I am diabetic and no feeling in my feet. I noticed them getting clumsier than usual.
