Yesterday, Andriy Lukanyuk, the commander of the 80th Airmobile Battalion, was killed near Bakhmut. He was originally from the Ivano-Frankivsk region and had been serving as a company commander since 2014. He had participated in the battles for Luhansk airport, Debaltseve, Krasnohorivka, and Shyrokyne.

Serhiy Cherevaty, a spokesperson for the Eastern Military Group, reported that Bakhmut is still the center of the conflict. Over the last day, 306 attacks were launched from multiple rocket launchers, and 56 battles occurred. In the Bakhmut area alone, there were nine battles and 26 artillery strikes. According to Cherevaty, the enemy suffered 244 fatalities and 315 wounded of varying degrees during the National Telethon.

He fought in the Revolution of Dignity, Pisky, Avdiivka, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Bakhmut. He was awarded the title of Peoples Hero in 2017 and Hero of Ukraine in 2021. He had been fighting for his country since he was 18, joining the military shortly after the Revolution of Dignity.
