The Swedish government wants to give the Swedish Armed Forces to investigate the conditions for sending the Saab JAS 39 Gripen to Ukraine

A decision on such an assignment has to be made shortly.
Among other things, the government wants to know how a transfer of the Gripen planes would affect Sweden's defense capabilities, how quickly Sweden can get new Gripen planes as compensation and how training of Ukrainian pilots can be carried out.

The government opened in August to send Gripens to Ukraine. Defense Minister Pål Jonson (the Moderate party) then stated that the government office "for a long time" had looked at the issue.

At the end of August, the Social Democrat opposition also announced that they were prepared to send the Saab JAS 39 Gripen to Ukraine. They did not set a date, nor did they indicate how many planes it might involve. the Social Democrats first wanted to see a serious analysis of the consequences for Swedish defense capability and wait for Swedish NATO membership.

If that's old then how about my father. My father was very active until some guy doing 60 in a 45 ran a stoplight and T-boned him about 5 years ago. He is 96. Biden is not that old.

A Russian pilot tried to shoot down a British Royal Air Force spy plane over the Black Sea last year and fired two missiles, believing he had permission to hit the plane, the BBC reported, citing three sources in Western defense circles.

On September 29, the RAF aircraft was conducting a surveillance mission over the Black Sea in international airspace when it was engaged by two Russian Su-27 fighter jets.

As the two Russian Su-27s approached the British aircraft, they received a message from the ground station controller: "You have a target". This ambiguous command was taken by one of the Russian pilots as permission to launch missiles.

Upon hearing the command, the Russian pilot fired a missile, which successfully launched but failed to hit the target. Sources said that the two Russian pilots then had a quarrel.

A leak of classified US intelligence last year showed that the US military spoke of what happened in very strong terms.
