🇺🇸 US President Joe Biden, in his speech at the UN General Assembly, called Russia's concessions against international law for a faster end to the war in Ukraine unacceptable, stressing that it would undermine the international legal order.
"If we depart from the fundamental principles of the UN Charter in order to appease the aggressor, can any of the participating countries be sure that they are safe? If we allow the dismemberment of Ukraine, can we talk about the security of the independence of any country? The answer is no. We must oppose this direct aggression now in order to deter possible aggressors in the future," Biden emphasized.

Only after a movie and several documentaries about him did this man's service and sacrifice become public and posthumously recognized. The generals only decided to carry out an assassination attempt when it was clear to the last one that the war had long been lost and that Germany's downfall was inevitable. All I want to say is that Elser's fate is exemplary for the many "ordinary" people who risk everything, including their lives, to prevent or stop a dictatorship. I always think of this when I read the Atesh reports or hear from people who are trying to change something in the Russian-occupied territories or within Russia.

🇦🇿The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has announced the start of an "anti-terrorist operation" in Nagorno-Karabakh. The stated goal is to "restore constitutional order".
The ministry has already reported casualties on the Azerbaijani side. Cars carrying civilians and soldiers exploded on mines in the area of the Ahmedbeyli - Fizuli - Shusha road. Two soldiers were also wounded by mortar fire.

In Russia, a pregnant servicewoman was sentenced to 6 years in prison for evading service during the period of mobilization
As reported by Russian media, the sentence was passed on Corporal Madina Kabaloeva. She has been serving under contract since 2016.
Kabaloeva has an eldest child born in 2018. Having become pregnant for the second time, the woman contacted her military unit and received a recommendation for release from service.
In court, Madina Kabaloeva stated that she considered the doctors’ recommendation to be sufficient grounds and did not contact the command on this issue.
The prosecution, in turn, insisted that the defendant did not quit the service and continued to receive salary and enjoy benefits. This means that she remained a soldier and had to report to her company after the announcement of partial mobilization.
The fact of failure to appear before the leadership of the military unit led to criminal prosecution of the pregnant soldier. The Vladikavkaz Garrison Court sentenced Kabaloeva to six years in prison - with the sentence suspended until her youngest child turns 14 years old. The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don recognized this decision as legal.
