Just got back from looking over my zinnias which were planted late due to constant rain. About 2 inches high and need thinning.

Delivery of goods from China has risen in price to a maximum since the beginning of 2023

Russia has not only enough problems with paying for imports, but delivery prices have also jumped. The cost of delivering goods from China to russia every two weeks rises in price by at least a third.

Rail transportation is leading the price growth: now the delivery of a 40-foot container by train from Guangzhou, China, to Moscow will cost a record $8500, a study of the tariffs of transport companies showed. This is 40% more expensive than in early June, when the same route cost $6000, and 70% more expensive than in mid-May, when a container could be brought for $5000. Prices are now close to the peak values of early 2023, when prices for transportation from China were at their maximums.

The average rate of transport companies for the delivery of a 40-foot container by sea and rail from Shanghai to Moscow is about $7000. The cheapest way is by sea to St. Petersburg or Novorossiysk (rates are still up to $6000 per container), but there the period can even exceed 60 days - including due to the ongoing blockade of trade routes in the Red Sea by the Houthis.

Due to the fact that ships now have to go around Africa, bypassing the Cape of Good Hope, the duration of voyages has increased, and containers now return to China more slowly, which means that they need to be explained more by the head of Trans Synergy Stanislav Stankevich. In russia, the situation is complicated by the fact that it is not profitable to export containers back to China, because there is nothing to carry in them. This is a consequence of the imbalance in trade: Russia exports mainly raw materials, so real pyramids of empty containers have accumulated at key transport hubs in Central Russia, waiting to be sent to the East.

Importers warn that cost will further increase as demand is hig,h and there are not enough containers and railway platforms. Of course, delivery costs will be included in the price of goods.

Putinistan is planning a coup in Moldova in October, a joint document of the USA, Canada and Great Britain is warning.

Russia intends to organize mass protests in Moldova if a pro-Russian candidate loses the election.

They attempt to foment negative public perceptions of Western governments and Moldova’s leadership, while degrading public confidence in Moldova’s ability to secure itself and maintain rule of law. Russia is currently supporting pro-Kremlin candidates for Moldova’s presidency and is exacerbating societal tensions.

These Russian actors are actively using disinformation and propaganda online, on the air, and on the streets to further their objectives. They are agitating criticism of the incumbent Moldovan president’s government and political party, in order to incite protests.

The goal is to create anti-Western sentiments among the population, to undermine democratic processes and hinder the European integration of the country.

More Z-circus. Enters...

That's your call, Medvedev!

Medvedev promised to demand that the West compensate for the damage caused by sanctions

"We are going to calculate it in order to present the losses we have suffered to the countries that imposed sanctions on russia in a certain situation," drunk Dima said at a meeting of the "anti-neocolonial" movement "For the Freedom of Nations".

Because they are "unfair competition". "Maximum harm" will be inflicted on the US and its allies every day for the sanctions imposed on russia and mighty ruZZia will "cause damage in all places, paralyzing the work of their companies and government institutions. Literally destroy their energy, industry, transport, banking and social services."

He wants to calculate the damage to all countries against which the West imposed sanctions "in circumvention of the UN Security Council" which he says "are many". And it's only fair to demand reparations "for colonial policy."

The Z-regime proposed to build "patriotic socialism" in Putinistan instead of a market economy - Moscow Times

In russia, it is necessary to build "patriotic socialism" instead of a market economy, which "fails" and does not ensure the prosperity of the country, said Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexei Chekunkov.

"The russian entrepreneur, having gone through the path of a speculator – a new russian – a businessman – a patriotic entrepreneur in one generation (there are no others left), in fact could not occupy a niche in the economy as the main engine of creation and progress."

Therefore russian entrepreneurship, due to the "sins of rapid accumulation of capital in the 90s," remained for most of society "something immoral and parasitic" which caused a "immune reaction" of "cleansing" by the security forces. Thus the share of the private sector has been steadily declining for twenty years and don't "conquer new markets" nor "are in the vanguard of innovations".

Now ruZZia will "develop a culture of service and creation" that are "more altruistic and patriotic, but no less competitive than profit hunters". The state will need to "launch the flywheel of rapid growth" with "bolder use of public debt."

So, ruZZia will defeat all with the "patriotic socialism", based on the "principles of justice, competition and culture".

The last one is especially funny. Okay, you do that, try again: USSR 2.0 based on Putinism. LMAO!

Russia Terminates Cooperation With ICAO Council Case on 2014 Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17:

The russian Foreign Ministry has announced it is terminating cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) investigation into the 2014 shoot down of Malaysian Boeing MH17 flight over Eastern Ukraine.

"In the ICAO Council, let the Westerners and their satellites now deal with each other. We are ending our participation in this farce. Russia does not recognize the Council's authority to consider the planted stories of Australia and the Netherlands, as well as any decisions that will be made by them in connection with them."

The shoot down of the flight was concluded by Dutch investigators to have originated from Pro-Russian separatists in Donbas who were armed with a russian Buk anti-air missile system without proper training or ability to identify aircraft types. Local militiamen posed over wreckage and looted belongings from bodies and suitcases shown in infamous pictures taken in the carnage of the mass killing. Two russians and a Ukrainian separatist were sentenced in absentia for the murders.

298 passengers and crew were killed in the shoot down of the flight, notably 193 of them being Dutch.

The russian Foreign Ministry had rejected the findings of the Dutch Safety Board (DSB) and the Dutch-led Joint Investigative Team (JIT) that was delegated investigative power by Ukraine. The country in which a civil aviation shootdown takes place retains the right to delegate the investigation, Ukraine chose to do that. However, the Putinistan rejected this decision and demanded russia jointly lead an investigation. Moscow cites the excerpt below from UN Security Council Resolution 2166 as reasoning to terminate cooperation. "efforts to establish a full, thorough and independent international investigation into the incident in accordance with international civil aviation guidelines" Moscow concluded that Western intelligence services infiltrated the investigation and lied about russian involvement.

Withdrawal from the ongoing investigation changes little since the reports have already been submitted to ICAO. However, this does lay the legal groundwork for russia to reject any further findings against it.

As a rule russia is terminating all cooperation in international bodies that might led to reveal russias crimes and real goals. However, Putinistan will not get out of their responsibility by these manoeuvrings.

From "The Analyst":

VOVCHANSK UPDATE

Despite being pushed back, Russia has continued to use its attack to defend tactics in Vovchansk, a system that’s repeatedly proven to be costly in lives, which of course they don’t care about, but longer term leads to poorly trained troops and low morale, let alone short life expectancy.
These Russian attacks appear to have been manipulated by the Ukrainians into over extending themselves in a very thin corridor, which drew them into the aggregate plant - a target easily cut off with preparation but far too attractive for the Russians to ignore the opportunity. It was simply too much of a strategic target to ignore, offering up dominance over the whole town.
The only problem was that the access to it came from an already narrow strip of Russian controlled land by the river.
The Russians have used these spike infiltration tactics before and Ukrainian commanders have become familiar with how they operate and their motivations.
Ukraine still holds a manpower advantage here of 3:1, but the Russians have 5:1 in artillery which, along with endless glide bomb attacks, they have, in six weeks, destroyed completely this previously unharmed town. It’s little more than wreckage and rubble now.
The Russian storm troopers did their thing, as the Ukrainians sheltered, observing their actions, waiting until they over-extended their supply lines from their narrow point of origin.
At this point, with the Russians shelling and glide bombs temporarily backed off to avoid hitting their own troops, the Ukrainians launched a swift counter attack, quickly cutting the Russians off in the aggregate plant and closing down any means of retreat. The Russians, some 400 of them, were trapped.
The Russians sent in drones with food, water and ammunition to try and sustain the trapped troops. However the Ukrainians, able to deploy their airforce having destroyed Russian radars and anti-air systems, dropped GBU-39 bombs into the plant to make their lives the misery they deserve.
This battle has been raging for six days. The Russians have failed to breakthrough to relieve the trapped troops - or anywhere else for that matter despite the relentless use of poorly trained infantry.
Ukrainian aircraft destroyed the remains of the hospital being used as a Russian concentration point and ensured no relief was ever coming through.
With casualties mounting in the heat of summer averaging 21-25C and no means of evacuating the dead or wounded the Russians are expected to either kill themselves as their indoctrination tries to get them to do, or surrender which some reports say has already occurred.
The effort Russia has expended to mount this operation and its imminent failure will prove even more detrimental over time. Their chances of holding on to the remains of Vochansk will be greatly diminished.
Without it there’s almost no point to this section of the front which has few defence positions and is mostly open ground.

In other news the Ukrainians announced that a month ago they shot down one of Russia’s latest hypersonic missiles. This is not the aero-ballistic Kinzhal, but the true hypersonic 3M22-Zircon with ramjets and cruise-terminal glide variability systems. It marks the first time in history that such a missile has been shot down.
It took a month to admit it because they were uncertain if the claim was true, but forensic evidence gathered enough parts to prove it. Presumably this was shot down with a Patriot, but they haven’t said. This is a very significant development because such weapons were considered largely invulnerable.

Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦!

From "The Analyst":

PEACE CONFERENCE: RUSSIAN INFLUENCE STILL WEIGHS HEAVY

The Peace Conference in Switzerland at which Russia wasn’t present, had a primary purpose. 91 nations came together to work out a way to communicate to both sides a way forward to end the war.
It achieved what it was likely to achieve: nothing of value. In the end it tried to come up with a final communique - and it did. But only 80 of the 91 signed it. Those that did not, including India, South Africa and Brasil, all have long standing and yet largely political historic relationships with the old Soviet Union they cannot let go of. South African ANC leaders were almost all educated in the Soviet Union and supported by Moscow as they worked for the fall of Apartheid. India saw the Soviets as anti-imperialist and have long standing weapons trades with Russia they may well now regret. It’s also about India saying no to either of the blocs when it suits it and carving its own path. Brazil’s socialism and India-like desire to break away from either East or Western domination influenced them.
But their combined reasoning frankly disgusts me. The excuse they and the others - including Indonesia - stated was that, ‘it was unhelpful to blame Russia for the war’.
By which the mean that Ukraine is to blame for not giving in when the Russians occupied Crimea and the Donbas, and if they had just accepted it the war would never have happened.
They also imply that if you accuse Russia of responsibility then its sensitive president won’t be able to cope with being told it’s his fault and will sulk in the corner. After all you don’t want to tell him the truth.
So the conference achieved very little except that those who support Ukraine - 80 nations - made it clear that they continue to do so.
Zelensky made it clear that all Russia has to do is withdraw from the occupied territory and peace talks can start straight away.
Russia of course is set on the path Putin decided on. He’s stuck between the proverbial rock and a hard place. He can’t be seen to lose and he can’t win.
The people of Russia are literally paying for his designs on Ukraine. Facing rises of 7% in taxation on already high taxes, almost every category of income from personal to corporate will pay the extra from July 1st. The money has to come from somewhere as sanctions grip ever more deeply.
