Ukraine prepares for potential russian attack on "Decision-Making Centers" following Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-attack in the Kursk Region
Kyiv is preparing for the possibility that russia may launch missile strikes on parliament and other government buildings in response to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (UAF) incursion into the Kursk region, a senior Ukrainian defence ministry source told The Times.
"Russia feels the need to give a very tough response, something big, to show the world that it is all-powerful and that something like Kursk will not go unpunished," the source said.
According to him, Russia could launch "not just four missiles" at Kyiv, but hundreds, including cruise and ballistic missiles.
"And this could become a big problem for our air defense. But I believe that we will be able to stop them," the representative of the Ukrainian military department noted.
Another Ukrainian official confirmed Russia's preparations for a large-scale missile attack on "decision-making centers" in Ukraine in a conversation with AFP.
BREAKING NEWS
Ukraine is storming the Kolotilovka border crossing into the Belgorod oblast - apparently started a couple of hours ago.
This could finally give us a clue as to what the real objectives are. Belgorod is a vital core centre for military supplies along the whole eastern front.
The objective won’t be taking the city, just cutting the logistics lines and support for frontal operations.
