lives on 10 acres in a sparsely populated area of the Ozarks. I heat with wood that is leftover by the lumber industry. When cutting oak for lumber only the trunk is used.

The house is warm again. During the night it cooled into the high 50s and Merry was curled up under my chin when I woke. I turned on the space heater in the bedroom and waited 15 minutes before getting up. Tonight I will build a fire in the little wood stove. 9 tonight.
