Basically, everywhere you look in America, things are peachy for the whitest and wealthiest people and in the areas they care about while things are literally falling apart everywhere else.

COVID and increasingly climate change are showing how unsustainable that gap is, though, as even those privileged areas depend on a vast network of infrastructure and human labor to keep them going.

But they're convinced they can keep on this way forever.

Republicans don't give a damn about the debt or deficit. They've raised the debt ceiling again and again while handing out trillions in tax cuts to billionaires. Their goal is to cut Social Security and Medicare, which tens of millions of Americans rely on to stay out of poverty.

Sunsets, skate boarding & his positive nature were all things Tyre Nichols was known for.

When Nichols was murdered by cops, he was on his way home from taking sunset photos at a park.

He was 100 yards away from his parents' house when he was stopped by cops who killed him.

Nichols is survived by his 4 y/o son.

He loved being a father & loved his son.

When he wasn't working, Nichols headed to Shelby Farms Park to skateboard, something he'd been doing since he was 6 y/o.

Bit of a long shot here, but wondering if there are any lefties/socialists/commies/etc in this instance in Seattle who'd be interested in collaborating on a very small scale mutual aid project. Like bare minimum Bernie level Dem Soc, but ideally far left lefties - bonus points if my association is likely to result in my further radicalization, haha! ✊

I tend to grow (berries, veg, duck eggs) and cook a lot of food, enough to share on a regular basis, but I don't drive.

So I'm considering partnerships with VERY covid conscious folk(s?) who DO drive, for delivery to people who could use it nearby (including my delivery partners, if they would like/need it, obviously).
