Today, the entire nation is paying tribute to the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, a reminder of the great cost of our freedom and the values we are striving to uphold. In 2013-2014, Ukrainians made a civilizational choice, and thousands of volunteers rushed to the frontlines from the Maidan. Since February 24, 2022, this front has extended for over 3,000 kilometers, but we are not afraid. We will continue to fight and we will prevail.

Nine years ago, a tragic event occurred in the center of Kyiv when dozens of protesters were killed. This event has become a symbol of unity for Ukrainians, who have since fought for their integrity and stood together like brothers. The Day of Remembrance of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes has become especially meaningful in the midst of a full-scale war. In 2014, Ukrainians courageously declared to the world and the government of the day that they wanted to live according to European values, refusing to return to Russian control.

Regarding Transnistria, the Russian-backed separatists and military commanders are now complaining that the situation is very tense, and the newly elected Prime Minister of Moldova, Dorin Recean, has expressed the need for demilitarization by withdrawing Russian troops and demilitarizing Transnistria. Transnistria is a problem created by the Russians near the border in the 1990s, and it should have been demilitarized and de-occupied long ago. The Russians have turned Transnistria into a large military base with large army depots (Kobasna), etc. By demilitarizing Transnistria, a lot of Russian ammunition and other resources can be taken and used against them, which is what the Russians are complaining about. Of course, this does not guarantee that all of this will be done, and we are not saying that the Armed Forces will demilitarize Transnistria, but we are very pleased with the attitude of the new Moldovan government.

The other part of defending against an enemy attack is the bravery and dedication of our soldiers. We are truly grateful for their courage and commitment.
