The GUR (Intelligence Service) reported that two Ukrainian women and six children were freed from captivity as part of a special operation. They had been subjected to terrible conditions while held in Syria.

The Battle of Vuhledar is a conflict that has been ongoing since April 2022, when Russian troops captured Volnovakha and began the siege of Mariupol. The front line has shifted back and forth over the past 11 months, with the Russian occupiers unable to make any significant advances. In the summer, the enemy was forced to retreat 8 kilometers, and since then they have been unable to regain their positions. As of March 2023, the occupiers have only managed to advance 2 kilometers near the village of Mykilske, and have not been able to retake their positions in the Shevchenko area. The Ukrainian forces, including the 35th, 53rd, 55th, and 72nd Brigades, have been successful in defending Vuhledar against the 40th and 155th Marine Brigades of the Russian Pacific Fleet and other enemy forces.

In the Kupyansk and Lyman sectors, the enemy has attempted to break through the defense of our troops in the areas of Hryanikivka, Kreminna, Kuzmine, Verkhnekamianske and Spirne. In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy has continued to try to storm the town of Bakhmut, with unsuccessful offensive actions being repelled in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske and Hryhorivka. On the Avdiivka, Maryinka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy has conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske and Maryinka.

The United Nations Commission has not observed any indications of genocide in the behavior of the Russian military. In Kyiv, police rescued a dog named Babanich from its cruel owner. The offender had not taken the dog outside for walks and had been starving it. The neighbors had been doing their best to feed the animal, but the owner would douse it with vodka to make it less annoying and less whining. When the police arrived at the apartment, they found no food or other supplies for the puppy, not to mention dishes or other items for it. The dog is now living with the police officer who took part in its rescue.

The police in Kyiv have detained an arms dealer in Boryspil. The 38-year-old suspect was found to be selling explosive items illegally.
