🤡 Putin: Western troops in Ukraine would not change the course of the war

Vladimir Putin does not believe that the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine would change the course of the war. Even if some NATO countries decided to send troops to Ukraine, this would not affect the course of the war change, claimed Putin referring to to Macron's statement that this should not be ruled out. "If these are official foreign military contingents, the situation on the battlefield will certainly not change (...) just as the arms deliveries have not changed anything," he said.

What are we waiting for? This bet stands!

🇺🇸 The House of Representatives of the US Congress voted overwhelmingly in favor of a bill that could ban TikTok in the United States.

The bill obliges the company to get rid of its Chinese owner ByteDance. If not, the social network will be banned.

Lawmakers supporting the decision argue that TikTok poses a national security threat because the Chinese government can force ByteDance to hand over the data of American users. The law must now be approved by the US Senate.

President Joe Biden has said he will sign the bill if it reaches his desk.

TikTok criticized the vote. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted angrily to the lawmakers' plans the day before, calling it an "act of intimidation."

US UPDATE BREAKING NEWS

House Republican Congressman, Buck, has resigned basically immediately. He’s had enough of the ‘worst congress I have ever served in’ and loathes the MAGA brigade in his party. Complex rules around replacing him in Colorado means that the republicans have barely a 1 seat majority and are in serious danger of losing control to the Democrats. And you know what that means! Aid for Ukraine!

Leonid Volkov is back home and seems reasonably okay. He broke his right arm but his legs withstood 15 blows from a hammer. He says he's confident that his assailant was a St. Petersburg thug sent by Putin

Leonid Volkov, the longtime chief of staff of the late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, was attacked with a hammer and tear gas outside his home Tuesday.

Navalny’s spokesperson Kira Yarmysh said. Volkov has lived in Lithuania in self-imposed exile from Russia for at least four years.

The reported attack comes less than a month after the death of Navalny in a Russian prison colony.
“Someone broke a car window and sprayed tear gas in his eyes, after which the attacker started hitting Leonid with a hammer,” Yarmysh wrote late Tuesday on X. “Leonid is now at home, police and ambulance are on their way to him.”
Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation, of which Volkov once served as chairman, posted photos on X of Volkov with a bloodied leg and swollen face. The organization also posted a photo of a car’s smashed window. His associate Ivan Zhdanov posted photos of Volkov being brought into an ambulance on a gurney.
For many young Russians, dreams of democracy died with Alexei Navalny
Volkov was Navalny’s longtime top political adviser and helped run Navalny’s campaigns. He fled Russia under threat of persecution and has faced various charges brought against him in Russia. In 2021, a Moscow court ordered his arrest for encouraging minors to participate in unauthorized rallies — in what Lithuanian Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite condemned as “politically motivated prosecution,” according to VOA

Volkov has also served as chairman of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, which Navalny founded in 2011 to investigate alleged corruption by high-ranking Russian officials, increasingly including those within the Kremlin elite. The foundation was outlawed by Russia. Navalny was jailed in 2021 and, in August, a Russian court handed him a 19-year sentence on extremism charges. He died suddenly on Feb. 16 while in an Arctic penal colony.
For Russian political prisoners, Navalny’s death is reminder of peril
Russia’s crackdown on dissent has been expanding for years, and political cases have snowballed since the country invaded Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin has criminalized antiwar protest and has suppressed war critics, political dissenters and independent journalism.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said that relevant authorities are working on Volkov’s case. “News about Leonid’s assault are shocking,” Landsbergis wrote on X. “Perpetrators will have to answer for their crime.”

⚡️⚡️Today, the SBU attacked three oil refineries in Ruzzia with drones at the same time - not only in Ryazan, as reported earlier, but also in Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod Oblast) and Kirisha (Leningrad Oblast).

Sources in the SBU confirm that these attacks are a continuation of a series of special operations against enemy oil refineries, which were previously launched by the Security Service.

"We are systematically implementing a carefully calculated strategy to reduce the economic potential of the Russian Federation. Our task is to deprive the enemy of resources and reduce the flow of oil money and fuel, which the Russian Federation directs directly to the war, to the murders of our citizens."
- adds the source.

Also, the SBU, together with other representatives of the defense forces, attacked, with drones, the air base of the Russian Air Force in Buturlinivka and the military airfield in Voronezh.
