Good morning Resisters. We have a major storm arriving today. The entire southern half of the state is level 4 risk. Can't be any worse than Monday night though. And I don't live on flat land so any tornadoes will be north of here. Tornadoes don't like mountainous terrain.

More Information Regarding the Arrest of the US Soldier in Russia. Apparently, a Second US Citizen was also Detained for a Separate Alleged Incident

The Pervomaisky district court in Russia's Far East city of Vladivostok ordered the arrest of U.S. Staff Sergeant Gordon Black and sent him to pretrial detention until at least July 2, court spokeswoman Yelena Oleneva said on May 7.

He has been accused of stealing from a woman after traveling from South Korea -- where he was stationed -- without informing his superiors.

Russian authorities separately disclosed on May 7 that another American, identified by court officials as William Russell Nycum, had been detained 10 days ago in an unrelated case and was in custody in Moscow on "petty hooliganism" and alcohol charges.

Daniel Kanigan, deputy spokesman at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, told RFE/RL in an e-mail that “we can confirm that two U.S. citizens have been detained in Russia in the past week.” He did not confirm the name of either of the detained Americans.

Russia's Foreign Ministry, however, said the two news cases were not political and that neither is accused of espionage.

Black was charged with "theft causing significant damage to a citizen," Kommersant cited Oleneva as saying. The maximum penalty for the charge is five years in prison.

Though his name was not officially confirmed, the soldier’s mother told the ABC TV network that her 35-year-old son had been visiting his girlfriend in Russia at the time of his arrest.

‼️ The takeoff of several Tu-95MS strategic bombers from Olenya airfield in ruzzia was recorded

If the flights are for combat, the missiles will enter the airspace of Ukraine around four in the morning local time.

Also in the evening, Russia deployed a submarine with "Kalibr" missiles into the Black Sea.

According to the head of the Strategic Communications Center of the Southern Defense Forces, Dmytro Pletenchuk, "the potential danger is taken into account and where exactly the enemy will launch missiles will become known only when this process begins."

At the same time, Pletenchuk emphasized that "all these processes are being monitored and people will have time to react to the threat of a missile attack."

In addition the Air Force informs about the threat of the use of enemy attack UAVs for the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Ukraine now has drones rescuing fallen drones from hazardous battlefields.

“Retrieving drones on foot was not an option because it contradicts their purpose—preserving lives. So, we decided to find a way to evacuate our drones,” said Vasyl Shyshola, commander of an aerial reconnaissance unit for Ukraine’s 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade.

Initially, his team experimented with a drone equipped with a release mechanism.

“But frankly, this plan didn’t work. The lifting capacity of the Mavic and the weight of a drone equipped with a battery were incompatible. We had to drop the hook because it got firmly attached to the drone,” Shyshola said, outlining the early failures that led to further innovation.

With time pressing and potential reassignment looming, the team couldn’t delay their efforts. “We took another drone and taped about two meters of rope to it, with a triple hook at the end made from grenade rings, which we regularly used against the enemy,” he described.

Their first successful recovery was a drone just 500 meters away, in a mine-laden area in front of the enemy’s former front positions, in fields mined with everything from anti-tank to anti-personnel mines. After locating the drone in the grass and determining the wind direction, “we made the first attempt to hook the drone by one of its legs,” Shyshola noted.

“But flying with such weight was very challenging, as the wind and inertia swayed the rescued drone in all directions. We managed to secure it and had to land along the way, but already in a safe place for us.”

Nonetheless, Shyshola and his unit were able to rescue 16 drones, 10 of which were completely intact, including six equipped for night operations. The six drones that were damaged and not working were sent to volunteer organizations to repair.

💭🇺🇸 And if Mr Putin and the Russian officials are worried about their troops in Ukraine getting hit with weapons from other countries, then the easiest thing to do is just take your troops and leave, — John Kirby, United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications

Putin has instructed to conduct exercises on the use of tactical nuclear weapons, - Russian Ministry of Defense Murder

The exercises will be conducted “in order to increase the readiness of non-strategic nuclear forces to carry out combat missions... in response to provocative statements and threats by individual Western officials against the Russian Federation.”

“ If someone decides to destroy Russia, we have a legal right to respond. Yes, it will be a global catastrophe. But why do we need such a world if Russia is not there?", said the Russian dictator.

- Putin again resorts to his nuclear rattling. Will western leaders shiver or see through his rhetoric?

Great! His life is coming to an end, so let's destroy the whole world, including his girlfriend and 4 children safely ensconced in Switzerland!!
