@TheStrugglingScientists It’s been a very long time but I remember feeling pride, relaxation and elation which lasted a month at most. Everything else after that had much shorter timespans: first post (2 was), docent title (1 wk), tenure (2-3 d), professorship (about a day). Life is cruel. You get to the point you were striving to get for all those years and eventually feel “Meh, done!” What matters most is to enjoy what you’re doing. I still ❤️ research and that is what counts
