Meet the Silver-studded Blue (Plebejus argus). This butterfly has an incredible relationship with ants!
As a caterpillar, it attracts ants by producing sugary liquid & amino acids from a special gland & pores. In return, the ants look after the caterpillar, protecting it from predators & even allowing it to shelter inside their nest. The caterpillar pupates inside or near to the nest, with a protective swarm of ants surrounding the newly emerged butterfly until its wings have fully expanded.
@trinsec They are predominantly piscivorous and love lungfish. They have been reported to have eaten frogs, snakes and even baby crocodiles. 🐊 🐟

The shoebill (Balaeniceps rex) is a long-legged wading bird, belonging to the order of Pelecaniformes (hence the long legs). Shoebills practice urohydrosis, effectively defecating on their legs to lower their body temperature. To each their own. 
Sadly, there are only 5000 estimated specimens alive today. They are mostly threatened by anthropogenic destruction of their marshland habitat and black-market trading, where the rare bird is sold for multiple thousands of dollars.

The resplendent quetzal (Pharomachrus mocinno) is a small bird found in Central America. Males grow ostentatious tail feathers during mating season, that can reach up to one meter in length. Quetzal birds were considered sacred by the Aztecs and Incas, serving as a template for gods like Quetzalcoatl.

@cpay Quite possibly Dolomedes albineus, the white-banded fishing spider. Would make sense, since you found it near a river and it is a water walking species. But I can't be 100% sure

The Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) is a small passerine bird of the Paridae family. As a residential and non-migratory bird, the blue tit rarely moves far from where they once hatched.
The yellowness of their ventral parts seems to be correlated to the number of caterpillars eaten, which contain carotene pigments, as well as the time of breeding. 🐦 🐣

Macro photography of a male "beautiful demoiselle" (Calopteryx virgo), a damselfly belonging to the Calopterygidae family. Male beautiful demoiselles have dark-coloured wings and metallic blue-green bodies, whereas females have brown wings and green bodies. Male specimen can often be seen resting on bankside vegetation, awaiting passing females.

A zebra jumping spider (Salticus scenicus) specimen. They can jump distances up to 20x their own body lenght. They jump by explosively straightening their hind legs. As they are lacking extensor muscles, leg extension is achieved via haemocoelic (blood) pressure. 🕷️
