@mguhlin @edutooter I like the idea of fun holiday activities, but I am mindful of environmental justice and food insecurity which are central to my instructional design and are serious issues right now. I know in southern California, where I am, food security is a big issue, as are the use of one time, disposable plastics. This makes me wonder about these types of activities and potential alternative activities where students might plant and grow small trees or plants to give to a loved one, or repurpose and reuse something as part of an activity.
Or maybe I am being too serious about this. What did you think of the activities?
@ZingerLearns @edutooter Haha, that perspective is useful to me. These kinds of posts don't take food security issues into account, and that's because of the audience they are written for. However, I will definitely consider alternatives to consider...that becomes a whole other blog entry! :-) Thanks so much for pointing it out. @ZingerLearns @edutooter
