Long chat with a neighbor, who was high ranking govnt personnel working in war zones, now retired. We discussed Gaza and Biden’s military support for Israel. S/he conveyed that we can’t expect Biden to abandon Israel over possible war crimes because they backed us in the Iraq war - and they know our hands were not clean under Bush/Cheney. S/he basically suggested that because of Bush II’s war in the ME, the US cannot demand a cease fire without risking exposure of our own closeted skeletons.

Russian, Republican, and Chinese disinformation campaigns rely heavily on "futility messaging" to suppress voter turnout.
It relies heavily on "protest" votes to nonviable 3rd parties, "both sides are the same", "don't bother voting, nothing changes" and feelings of impotence & false-flag or ghost candidates like Sinema.
After all, it worked in 2016.
All it took to get a Trump was 77,000 votes in 3 swing states - all accomplished by telling folks not to bother to vote.

Anyone who is upset that California fast food workers at major national chains will start earning $20/hr needs to realize that the minimum wage would actually be at least $24/hr if it had been raised at the same pace as worker productivity gains since the 1960s.
