I'm so close to successfully transitioning from #Windows to #Linux, but the one thing holding me back is a working IDE for C#.

#VisualStudio apparently doesn't exist for Linux.

#VSCode does, but it doesn't have multi-monitor support and won't let me use ctrl-click for selection.

#JetBrains #Rider seems to work well, except for the endless lag while typing (sometimes taking 30+ seconds to register each keystroke).

Is there an alternative that works well? I'm on #Fedora 40 currently.

Love that I can both cut and score cardstock on my tiny little Graphtec cutter. All running on #opensource toolchains! @inkscape on an Arch laptop etc. :)

Gestern haben wir in #Berlin vor der Neuen Wache die Namen der 15.000 Kinder verlesen, die in #Gaza seit dem 7.10. gestorben sind. Den ganzen Tag nichts weiter: der Name, das Alter, der Name, das Alter. Kind für Kind. Bis nach Mitternacht. Ich war abends für drei Stunden dabei und durfte auch an einige Kinder erinnern. Während des Leseaktes gab eine stille Performance von weissen Engeln. Eine starke und sehr traurige Aktion. #saytheirnames

Having grown up as #VideoGames became a “thing”, I splurged on one of the many #retrogaming handhelds for me and my son. He’s an avid gamer of the #GameBoy generation.

Impressed by this little device, the Miyoo Mini+, which can be had for $60 to $80. Emulators for a bunch of handhelds and consoles. There are more powerful / larger options and plenty of software mods you can do.

Now my son wants us to start a YT channel and “review” old games as if they just launched. 🙄

My workplace is preposterously scenic.
