Dropped these boards of to my friend John at the local #fablab. They are a NEMA 17 mount smart motor driver board aiming to build on the #Urumbu concepts coming out of #MIT and #Fablab communities. #micropython and #rp2040 onboard.

#MicroPython in the browser with #WASM is such an exciting possibility.

Catching up with what's been going on in PyScript over the last ~year and delighted to see that their MicroPython tech demo has worked its way into the core.

These are some profiles of one of their official demonstrators that runs both MicroPython and Pyodide in the same webpage (although Pyodide is given more work to do). Excluding network time, time to load MicroPython is <10 msec, and Pyodide is ~8000 msec 🤯

@evan one of the things I loved about early Twitter was the connected things - plants, ferries, etc. @andysc had a concept of "blogjects" -> "tweetjects" back then. ActivityPub absolutely can be another network where these things could be useful.

From a pure AP standpoint, it would be interesting to think about how to implement (say) ActivityPub C2S from something like Arduino or #micropython on a small device, or indeed from @nodered as a concentrator of sensor data.

I know it's a bit late for a #ScreenshotSaturday, but I just finished the beer brewing level in my #Godot engine remake of my game #uFactory!

Hace tan solo 3 meses tenía un ejército de amigos, conocidos, y algunos no tan amigos; militantes o no tan militantes pidiéndome el votito para Massa. Hoy, la mayoría de esa gente está guardada, frustrada, o especulando vaya a saber uno qué, pero no están en las asambleas, ni en los espacios que están surgiendo para enfrentar el horror que se viene. No están ellos, ni tampoco están, para el caso de los militantes, sus organizaciones.

Un poco porque en el fondo creen que la política es poner un papelito en un sobre cada 4 años, un poco porque la pasividad deos últimos años terminó por atrofiarles los músculos, el movimiento y la capacidad de lucha.

Tried Onsdel. No, #Ondsel ES. An utterly unmemorable name, but a good progress even over the recent dev #FreeCAD, which had numerous improvements already. But any version that won't make me accidentally open Transform 20 times per project would win me over, and this one finally doesn't :)
Modelling as I go, looking at the current shape and adding or cutting, is also more feasible, which is important for those of us without spatial ability.
And yes, my design is very heavy on fillets.

@FreeCAD workbench idea I wouldn't mind someone stealing before I can get to it myself: an interface for using zoo.dev's Text-to-CAD API. At a minimum, imagine loading the WB adds to the UI a text input box and submit button. Enter e.g. "a spur gear with 13 teeth", submit and get an STL or other standard format as basis for review, editing, and further modeling. Add preferences handling for the API key, file formats to ask for, caching, and log storage/viewing. https://text-to-cad.zoo.dev/
