@0x0f You know we have a free peertube instance you can use that federates same as your account here does, so people on the fediverse can follow you from their accounts here and on other servers?
@freemo It's not in SPAM. And It's the same account I use here so at least the mastadon server was able to send mail to it. It's also receiving mail so that is not the issue either. Weird. I will try again later them.
@arkay In fact 40 minutes after you registered a different user register and was able to verify their email.. so emails should be working.
@freemo Just not to GMX then. It's a pretty big provider here in Germany.

@freemo It might be worth taking a look at the mailserver and check what is going on? I might not be the only one waiting for that mail.
@arkay the fact taht others were able to verify after you suggests it isnt on my end, but i cant be sure.. would you like me to test it by sending you a password reset email and see if it goes through?

@arkay that is very strange indeed. The mail server is an AWS so its very unlikely it is blacklisted.
@freemo If it's an official server run by Amazon then it should be fine. I am running my own mail server so I know how difficult it is to get it recognized as not being a SPAM server :)

@arkay It is very strange then that you didnt get a confirmation email, the email system does work (or at least has been for other users until now). I can force your email to be verified but before I do can you check you spam folder for me?
