@BobTarte Beautiful shot!

The Zygoptera are an ancient group, with fossils known from the lower Permian

@BobTarte You make beautiful pictures man, thank you for sharing them. How long does it take you to make a picture of an insect? I'm an amateur, and 2 days ago after an half hour running behind a butterfly to try to catch it in the right light I gave up =D

@arteteco Most of my insect photos are terrible and I throw them away! don't have many good ones. I use a 70/300mm zoom for butterfly photos. You have to move slowly to get close enough for a tight photo. I give up easily and look for another insect.

This very calm Ornate Snipe Fly let me move the leaf he was sitting on! (You can see my fingers.) I used a zoom lens with a cheap extension tube to get his photo.

@arteteco Thanks for the nice words about my photos! I'm a much better writer than I am a photographer.
