In short: folks love the amazing decentralised encrypted comms utopia of Matrix. But organisations also love that they can use it without having to pay anyone to develop or maintain it. This is completely unsustainable, and Element is now literally unable to fund the entirety of the Matrix Foundation on behalf of everyone else - and has had to lay off some of the folks working on the core team as a result.

With the updates to #GPT3 and #ChatGPT, I'm left wondering what skills will be lost if companies try to roll out services like tech writing automation.
Will junior employees learn to write well? Will knowledge management and social connections be replaced by the knowledge of a chat bot?
Not trying to be a doomsayer here. But if we depend on the continued excellence of humans to train models, what happens when humans lose excellence?

Los cataplines de Urano
Ocurrió hace mucho, muchísimo tiempo. Un día cualquiera de hace ni se sabe en algún lugar desconocido de por ahí arriba. Mañana o tarde, da igual. Estaba el señor Urano enredado en la cama con su señora Gea (su señora, que además era su madre), cuando en estas irrumpió Crono, uno de sus hijos, en mitad del disfrute. Crono agarró a su padre, le cortó los cataplines con una hoz, los tiró al vacío por encima de su hombro con el mayor de los desprecios, los cataplines cayeron desde el cielo al mar… chof… chof… organizaron una gran espuma y de ahí surgió una tía buenísima a la que llamaron Afrodita.
Luego Afrodita se enredó con Ares, que era hermano de Atenea, y tuvieron a Eros, un cachondo; y mientras, Zeus se lió con su hermana y empezaron a nacer dioses por un tubo que se fueron luego todos a vivir al Olimpo.

Petit retour de cette journée dans un collège pour mettre du #linux.
J'ai clairement été atterré par le nombre de PC fonctionnels, laissés à l'abandon tout simplement parce qu'ils ne supportent pas #Win10.
Microsoft est climaticide quand on voit cela ! Et la collectivité...
Voici les PC en question qui sont reconditionnables, la plupart ont 4Go de RAM, des i3...
