I'm cis hetero, I say. My reasoning for that is that I've always been very much seen as masculine, with my beard, powerfully built body, interest in activities viewed traditionally as male. My aesthetics are much associated with manhood. And also, I'm attracted to people with feminine traits.

However, I'm not cishet-normative. I very much don't like cishet-normativity, and relish in everyone having free expression of gender and sexuality.

Is there a word for describing people like me?

@gme i didn’t have a Wordpress site back in the day, but I noticed that there were “ping backs” where the comment section of one site cached and previewed a small portion of the comments on a completely different site. Apparently the two webmasters had scripts to crawl each other’s sites. Is that still a thing ?

I’ve found that self-hosting a single-user Pleroma instance is the way to go. It’s fast, lightweight, can handle a lot of concurrent things happening, and you can slap a different frontend on top if you’d like. I’ve been doing it for a few years now, and my stream is always hopping at this point.

I’ve now done two Zoom calls over the last two nights purely on Mastodon.

Lots of learning happening across our community. Lots of people coming in - or trying to come in with various degrees of success! - lots of appetite to understand more about this federated environment and the right etiquette here.

Big thanks to all the admins who’ve been adapting at pace as we have been flooding in and swamping your servers!
