So. To get ahead on bills + to partially fund a trip I'm going to be going on next month, I'm probably going to be culling the hoard a bit.

Especially since I've unexpectedly gained a few systems I did not expect to gain.

If you're local to the South Bay Area, CA, and are potentially interested...watch this space. Cobbling together a price list.

EDIT: The list: docs.google.com/document/d/1bo

Are you in the general Denver/Boulder area? Do you want a Mac Classic II that is in a state of questionable functionality? We won't be able to ship these, but we do have a few that need new homes...

I'm having to use VSCode for a project, but what I want to know is where is the theme that makes it look like this?

New blog post! This is one of my favourite dumb projects to date: taking the hidden "Snail Maze" game out of the Sega Master System BIOS and turning it into a cartridge.

Sega has a rich history of weirdness, and I'm proud to do my part to help preserve that weirdness. #retrocomputing #retrogaming #sega #sg1000 #mastersystem #snails #kicad

Found these R6512 chips in my parts bin. I think it came in a large lot of EPROMs. Looks to be a variant of the 6502 processor. What devices used this specific processor? #RetroComputing

What posters should be hanging in a mom-and-pop computer store in 1999?

At Hackaday's Supercon 2023, I'll be talking about that little Apple II project I spent over 3 years working on... I'm so stoked that I am smiling in Double-HiRes.

Made a quick badge and used OSH Park's After Dark. It came out great.

Next revision will have a SMD prototyping area on the back. And I'm going to change up the front layers. (Like, make the label area copper.)

What is the smallest component (through-hole or surface mount) that you'll spend time to pick up after dropping?

For me, anything smaller than a 1206 (imperial) is considered gone forever.

The Analog Discovery 3 is Digilent's latest all-in-one tool. It follows the AD2 with some improvements. Here is an overview and some measurements you can make with either.

When designing PCBs, you should avoid the acid trap.

An acid trap is a trace design that causes people to pointlessly warn you about acid traps, explain them, and then say "but don't worry, they are not an issue anymore."

That's the trap.

I am happy to share that the BeagleBoard.org Foundation has launched a new RISC-V dev board today: the BeagleV Ahead powered by the T-Head TH1520 SoC (4x C910 cores) beaglev-ahead.org/announce #RISCV #BeagleBoard #BeagleV

@joeycastillo walked through how Sensor Watch maximizes the perphials on a SAM L22 to eliminate the need for external ICs. (Also, TIL about the configurable logic unit—I can’t wait to play with those.) @crowdsupply oddlyspecificobjects.com/produ
