#StatisticsChallenge (38/50)
Back to doing a quiz. Probably do another one tomorrow before diving back into homework.

Quite nice that the professor offered online lectures during this week

Breaking: Google's management has issued a 'code red' over concerns about the potential threat #ChatGPT, a highly buzzed-about #AI chatbot from @OpenAI, could pose to the search engine business, according to The New York Times. CEO Sundar Pichai has reportedly held meetings on the matter. #Alphabet #NYT
A couple weeks back Munich decided to put wearing masks as a recommendation while on public transit.
It is quite astonishing how many people simply stopped wearing them because it's not the law anymore.
This brings up the question of how many things people do just because it's the law and not out of principle.
Example: would people still wear their seatbelt if it wasn't the law?

The days prior during class, I remembered how fun it was doing math problems. So today I dealt covariance matrices. Kind of got lazy calculating eigenvalues of a 4x4 matrix, so took R to do the work for me. The values weren't that nice, so I saved the time dealing with factorization.

The coffee wore off just as I arrived at class. Luckily wasn't yawning too badly, though focus wasn't too great either. Remarkable that I was still able to do the math without any critical logical mistakes.

Finally completed the #Munich S-Bahn end station challenge. With the final distance from #Altomünster to #Mammendorf.
AAR:
Wore spikes the whole time. 3h in sunlight, 2.5h in darkness. In the latter section used my red headlamp. Navigated through heavy fog, sight distance maybe 10m. Got lost in the forest and fields, followed rabbit tracks to get back out. Also best not to do while sleep deprived. Currently awake 25h 🙈
#StatisticsChallenge (33/50)
It's been awhile since I drank coffee in the morning. Although it did help for like an hour, the crash happened during the class.

Went to class and learnt that next week's class will be streamed online, so I can travel a couple days earlier for holiday.

Does anyone have any thoughts on managing their research data using SQL or similar? I'm rapidly entering the zone where I have many disparate CSV files with measurements for the same sample set, and thinking a hierarchical approach may be useful here to collate data usefully. Would have to be usable within R, but otherwise I'm open. I'm looking at Apache Arrow, but I have no idea whether this is the right tool for this job.
I am a strong proponent of leaving this planet better behind than when I arrived on it. Thus to get the most bang for a lifetime my key focus is #longevity which I attempt to achieve with #nutrition specifically #plantbased.
Longevity is good and all as long as you are not frail and weak. Ideally would be to die young at an old age. Thus I incorporate tactics from #biohacking and #primalfitness. Additionally I am an advocate of #wildcrafting, which is a super set of #herbalism.
Studied many fields of science like maths or statistics, though the constant was always computer science.
Currently working as a fullstack web developer, though prefer to call myself a #SoftwareCrafter.
The goal of my side projects is to practice #GreenDevelopement meaning to create mainly static websites. The way the internet was intended to be.
On the artistic side, to dub all content under the Creative Commons license. Thereby, ideally, only using tools and resources that are #FLOSS #OpenSource. #nobot
