@Mastodon oh yes i can see this working out very well. but if it only shows you pre approved instances is it still a server picker? its not even organic why not just show what poeple are looking for? if you want to be all safe just put that option in dont make it the only option. i think more options are better for that. but i think its not really to be more safe its more about what the options are and off course we all want to be so very safe. why have some risk? why have fun? why see things unexpected? why not be an adult and just handel some shit its why more fun and it will last longer. mybe someone should make the not safe space server picker or unsafe server picker where you just choose what you want. is that not a novel idea to just choose what you want is to just have options.

@eben@niu.moe @brainblasted @Doudouosm yes of course why would someone even ask other instances to ban people when you have noting to do with that instance or tell them how they should do things. then use I'm marginalized so you can't say no to me. It's just showing a mind set that is not good for anything. And definitely not for online Interaction.

@taoeffect @brainblasted i dont think anyone can speak for anyone. the only thing i speak to is if you act like a marginalized victim to get special treatment your not virtuous and your not helping anyone. you could even say your harming poeple by keeping them weak. the only authority i have is over myself just like anyone else. and what are you talking about being yourself your on the internet you can be yourself all you want like anyone else.

@brainblasted @Doudouosm no that is the price you pay for being free and if they are planing to do stuff in real life and beat poeple that would already be illegal. and i would want to know what poeple like that say so i can respond i want to know. i can use my free speech to counter therese and thats how it should be. and just banning them will also not make them disapear you just took away the opportunity to counter them.

@brainblasted you are not just asking for poeple to be visibly themselves online. you are asking poeple to change things specifily for you. freedom of speech means anyone can be themselfs. you can do what anyone can do and is that not true equality.

@brainblasted you dont know the struggles my ancestors went true who are you to prusume on race that someone has it better or worse from a time you have never even lived true. who are you to act as if you still live in a time you have never known or lived in. i dont assume poc are weak i dont need to know someones race or gender or orientation to know how to act towards them. i dont expect poeple to just change shit because i complain and say im victim.

the harm what are you talking about how weak do you think poeple are. if they are that weak they should seek some help and stay offline because that can never be healty. maybe they have bigger problems then seeing bad words online.

@brainblasted you really act marginalized. but your online nobody knows who you are nobady can even see who you are. and online nobody should care because you could be an alien for all know. but you use marginalized to get things. to try to get poeple to change things specificly for you thats no really being marginalized thats using it for your own benefit thats taking advantige and thats not virtues at all thats being selfish and pretending your helping poeple when your not.

@alice @brainblasted how can you silence someone in a chat its even harder then in real life because nobody can stop you from sending someting. if there is free speech then you can always use yours if you dont like something. but really how can i silence you online if i cant prevent you from sending chats. and who wants to use a privacy app if there controling what you can do with it that whould defeat the hole purpose of using the app. its free speech its a principle

@brainblasted its the price you pay for freedom. i can see you really want to show your virtue. but maybe your hurting them more then your helping by blocking everything. and your just closing yourself off and eventualy there will be nobody left. because you can always find a reason to block someting its much harder to find a reason to not block someting and you will never become stronger only weaker your only hurting yourself thats not making minoroties strong.
