@clacke maybe, i also block a few things, but mostly i just ignore them by skipping over it. it just feels a bit off that there are so many supposed discussion platforms which are only used as sacred echo chamber. those bubbles won't make the world a better place, they never have.
the most strange thing is that conservatives seem to have fewer problems to discuss than progressives, which is the reverse of what prog. and cons. usually meant. 😶
@namark i was thinking more about people in general, with the "REPORTED&BLOCKED&CANCELED" behaviour just being a symptom of it. it feels like that there us no centre anymore, only extremes who won't talk to each other and one (perceived) misstep will lead to dire consequences.
@bonifartius @clacke if we're talking about this network, it's not very big actually, and it has yet to start attracting people to itself for its objective qualities. Instead many people are here because it's different, it's not the normie place, and we are not normies (which often also means we hate normies), and if one instance goes normie we can always switch to another, there is endless potential for that kind of drama here. There is a block strategy and a mock strategy of dealing with normies, and which one you choose is highly circumstantial.
