some brainstorming on cars: you are likely to charge your battery electric car during the night to have it fully charged in the morning. alas the sun doesn't shine so, ~50% (guess for germany) of the renewable energy is missing. there maybe is no wind. we don't have reliable efficient storage for electricity.

suddenly those cars aren't that green anymore, but worse than internal combustion engine cars because you have to burn coal. the cleanest possibility would be nuclear power, but that's also shitty.

that's why i hate battery electric. we need to have hydrogen as fuel if it should be really ecological, and not just a greenwashing marketing term. you can store hydrogen better (i know it always will leak a bit) you can transport it better. with some thought you may even use it as fuel for conventional engines.

the only thing battery electric solves is pollution in cities, but there really should be better ways than to buy new cars for that.
