no, you weren't forced to do that travel. no excuses. you always had a choice and you valued the flight bigger than your fight against pollution or climate change.

it was pretty clear 20 years ago that one trip across the ocean is like abou 10 years driving a car. the co2 calculations were done in the 70s. so, yeah, if the flight was 50 years ago you are off the hook

greta flying to conferences while the internet and video conferences exist is the biggest slap into the face of thinking people i can imagine.

flights not so much. gretas "take the sail boat one way" was the point i decided it's all bullshit. either do both ways or do a video conference.
Yes, my comment was sarcastic.
Video meetings use the least energy, (unless the conference is within walking/biking distance).
