To try and help promote the Fediverse, I got some small business cards made up, these are illustrated in the photos below.
Nothing fancy, just some simple text, Fediverse logo, qr code and a link to fediverse.party

@zleap don't want to ruin the party, they delisted qoto a while back, amongst others.
things are very tiresome.
OK, Well I can still use stuff from here, i think i remember something about that, I have changed the link on my blog footer to point to join mastodon.
@zleap i think i looked on joinmastodon back when i joined, but i think now these directories are pretty biased to what i'd call something like "limited speech" instances.
they remove instances like fosstodon and qoto because there are people on there holding unpopular opinions about gendering speech or vaccines or guns or any other "controversial" topic.
on the other hand i don't think i'd be hard pressed to find approval of things like trump getting shot at from the instances currently listed in these directories.
it's a glaring double standard.
It just makes it harder to promote, as promotion is easy, when people join unless hhey find an environment that is friendly and welcoming people leave, from reports from people some cases they have faced hostility, simply if they run a business and want to try and be here, but need to stay on Twitter for example due to their existing customer base.
What is meant by unpopular views on vaccines, does this refer to people being pro vacccine or being anti vaccine?
@zleap i'd say being against is unpopular. even if it's not generalized. it depends on the group of course ;)

Thabnks, I just wonder sometimes what new users to the fediverse will make of things like this, in the mean time I will suggest people goto joinmastodon and find an instance that aligns with their interests.
