It is difficult to do full time and make enough, which is what I am doing. I've been in business for 15 years so I have a lot of repeat customers now.
I also started an email newsletter around 8 years ago. If I hadn't have done that, I probably would not have survived.
However, if you are wanting to do stuff for fun and profit on the side, it is different. I have some ideas that I could certainly talk over.

For fun, pick a computer you like to refurbish, do some upgrades. List it for sale.
If no one buys, you still have a computer you like.

Yes, you would have to deal with people.
Sometimes it can be frustrating, but I usually find it rewarding.

I am a big believer in local economies as an alternative to #BigTech and banks.
In order to pursue those, getting better at relationships and working with people you don't completely agree with is vital.

@matthew @mitchconner i agree, i try to buy local when possible.
i just had enough people i helped who complained about something "not working" with free software. ignoring that windows is even worse, but with that you hear "it is what it is". the inconsistency annoys me :)
