@101101000 yes, i never liked her politics but she a) has an actual degree in serious science which she very likely not got by cheating (like the clowns we now have) b) stood behind her word (even if i hate most decisions) c) knew how to handle other leaders of bigger power without begging to get nuked. she was respectable, as ally and as enemy.

The mid-00s was peak technology and we're going downhill now. 
@mangeurdenuage while i usually also just wear cargo pants and stuff (i can't go anywhere anyways because of the covid), it's really disturbing how people just don't care anymore. i'm usually the only one who cares to put on a suit and tie for funerals, birthday brunches for someone turned 80, weddings. people just show up in jeans and a sweater. i mean, at least at a funeral you'd expect some effort in honour of the dead.

I say, No! Make one, it's endless fun, it covers so many disciplines, it's more akin to art and design than programming, and community-wise, it's a good way to find like-minded folks! You should definitely try your hand at it at least once or twice.
