I'm here for like two weeks. It feels much better than constantly being on Facebook. I'm calmer and more present.

But I really miss my #yarn and #handspinning tribe. I have noone to really share this passion with in real life, and there seems to be like I'm the only mastodon user in this niche.
Maybe I should not care and just create. It just feels a bit lonely like this.

Or maybe I'm just too stupid to navigate the #fediverse. But I'm really not that geeky Person...

@realcaseyrollins I agree its a poor argument, i mean your brain is just a clump of cells too. That said "its alive and its human" seems like a poor argument to me too, human cancer is alive and human but obviously thats fine to kill.

For me the argument comes down to if it can think, on any level, feel pain, suffer, feel. If it has a brain, even a far undeveloped one, and those neurons are sending signals, then the line has been crossed.

"It's just a clump of cells" has got to be got to be by far the dumbest #prodeath talking point

Like, yes, and? What kind of cells are they? Human? And it's alive? Then you've verified that you're justifying the killing of a living human being.

And what are you? Aren't you made up of cells yourself? Whats the difference between you and an unborn baby? All humans start as clumps of cells and never stop being clumps of cells.

@ParadeGrotesque yeah, the other night I needed to do something on the web for a public US university. Browsers tried:

Firefox on iphone
Chrome on ChromeOS
Firefox on OS Safari on OS X

What worked? Chromium on OS X. Everything else generated a null field value error for a mandatory field on submission.

So glad that instead of “what version of IE” we’ve fixed the web to “what version of Chrome”.
