Functional pipelines are actually way easier to do in Go than in most languages I've used, including some (nominally) functional ones. I posted about this recently, something about passing around writer interfaces, I think this was a couple of weeks ago. (In C you can do this kind of thing with pipe() and you either fork or use a thread or do a FSM and use select() or something.)
Anyway, I don't care to do language advocacy thread. It is usually only slightly better than editor holy war, which is itself just one rung above distro argument.
