@frauasha Vor allem: Die Tafeln wurden ursprünglich zur Lebensmittelrettung gegründet. Jetzt sind sie von der Regierung voll ins Sozialsystem "eingepreist"! Eine Unverschämtheit, nicht zuletzt auch für die Ehrenamtlichen. Für diese Art der sozialen Arbeit ist kaum einer geschult, obwohl diese psychisch auch oft "ans Eingemachte" geht. Dieses kranke System durch mehr Geld für die Tafeln auch noch zu fördern/zu stabilisieren, kann ich nicht gut heißen.

Gerade wird mir klar, dass die #Konservativen davor richtig Schiss haben müssen, dass wir begreifen, wie radikal wir das #Wirtschaftssystem verändern müssen um gegen die #Klimakatastrophe zu handeln. Und daher prügeln sie so sehr auf die (vielleicht viel zu) harmlose #LetzteGeneration ein. Sie wollen uns mit dieser #Diskursverschiebung weismachen, #festkleben sei terrorähnlich, so dass wir in unserer selbstverschuldeten #Untätigkeit verbleiben und ihnen ermöglichen weiterzumachen wie bisher.

what i liked about this one is she was a gyaru but she wasn't mean and had to be reformed. he was a chubby nerd but he just really wanted to help her for her own sake and wasn't actually revolting or any self-insert author shit. and they grew feelings naturally. and her friends weren't mean they were supportive.

in my social circle in my early 20s there was a beautiful and smart and popular girl and there was a guy who was homeschooled and awkward with nerdy interests but with an incredibly kind heart. i don't know how it happened but they fell in love hard and in a year they got married. that was over 20 years ago and they are still emailing us pictures of their biking trips together. really seeming unlikely but beautiful pairings happen in real life.

I never joined Twitter or really posted on Facebook. I'm somewhat of a private person, not wanting to expose myself to too much online. But Mastodon reminds me of "old internet" by being a bit clunky and complicated to use, which I hope selects for the people that I tend like.

I used to work as a software engineer in Silicon Valley, but moved back to Europe and wanted to do something different. Currently I'm studying physics and math, hoping to complete a master's degree by 2024.

I'm here looking for insightful or helpful interactions around topics
of #physics, #math and #programming. I'm also looking for a place to toot my horn a little about personal projects and things I've learned, since many of my interests are too esoteric for my real-life friends.

TIL: to find out what is attached to a device in /dev/ you can use:

udevadm info -q all -n /dev/

especially useful for things like /dev/ttyACMx if you connect more than one of them :D
