My heart breaks for China and I wish their zero-covid plans could have been better. Also, this is why I never really trust Chinese news without verification.

@braindouche Yeah. I think the mistake they made is to try to eliminate it (impossible) instead of flattening the curve from the beginning. Now there's a curve, and it's impossible to flatten it now. 😬

I think they were trying to hold on until there was an effective set of tools to address the virus, personally. They failed, though I haven't gotten a good answer as to why they've decided to let 'er rip in the first place.
