Downing Street spokesperson says it would not be in the "public interest" to answer questions on whether Prime Minister Rishi Sunak would want his own family using the NHS

Are their any other 69 year olds who think that the last 12.5 years have been the very worst in their lives and who fear for the future?

RT @snb19692
The government say they are giving the NHS everything they need...
Meanwhile the longest waiting lists in history, 500 people a week dying needlessly due to delays and staff shortages, Drs say the NHS has passed breaking point.... Who is telling the truth?

This has just popped through the letterbox from my local MP, @robertlargan Who would like take a guess at what party he represents?

Large & very expensive looking portacabins are being shipped into hospital car parks etc to accept patients arriving by ambulance They must be costing billions More elastoplast after 12 years of cuts by Tories

I see Nightingale Hospitals is trending as a solution to the current ED/bed shortage.
They could not be staffed during the pandemic, they cannot be staffed now.

“In Finland, the # of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.” scoop.me/housing-first-finland

If giving public sector workers a pay rise will destroy the economy you have to ask, who does the economy serve?

RT @doctor_oxford
Spectacular dishonesty from @RishiSunak who clearly doesn’t give a damn about the deaths, misery, overcrowding & horror we must witness in hospitals everywhere. Come & see it for yourself, Prime Minister. Come on - let us show you. Look the dying patients in the eye like we must.

Gas price is the lowest for nearly a year, but our bills are up.
Ofgem just hiked cap from £3549 to £4279 i.e. Govt will on average pay £1779 (£4279 less £2500) per household to energy companies.
Rip-off profiteering.
Ofgem isn't protecting customers.

Listening on R4 to horrific stories of long wait times in the NHS, people with ruptured appendices sleeping in cars as there’s nowhere else, 30hr corridor waits, no ambulances at all for 2 heart attack victims.

Where THE FUCK is the government on this? This is terrifying!

Patients being cared for on floors. The elderly dying with the best dignity staff can provide them.. whilst waiting in the back of an ambulance for a hospital bed. Tears flow freely from staff.

I wanted to summarize what is known about the new XBB.1.5 variant of SARS-CoV-2, which is starting to generate a lot of interest.

(There are no new scientific results in this thread, it simply aggregates previously reported results for those not following topic closely.)

Imagine arriving breathless to A&E via a GP’s car due to their fear that waiting for an overrun ambulance service may cost your life & there’s no cubicle or portable oxygen? And imagine the helplessness the A&E dr feels..

RT @oscarhero1801
I really do not want to dampen your spirits today but I heard on Radio 4 that as many parents cannot afford to keep their children they may have to go into care and that children have been seen raiding rubbish bins for food. We MUST take collective action in order to stop this!
