Another Mastodon how-to-do-it

Okay, another instance of basically this same question, but this time perhaps with a different answer:

Now I want to personally block the odious-looking pleroma.narrativerry.xyz server (pleroma, sigh), but when I search on what's apparently the only user on the server ("demitasse"), it finds it, but says "Profile unavailable", and doesn't provide the usual menu.

So I don't have a way to get to a "block entire domain" button from there. And at least on the web UI here, I don't know a way to get an input field into which to type a domain name to block.

Is there some magic? (Hm, maybe I can hack the DOM.)

Okay, the DOM appears RATHER COMPLEX here. Maybe I can use the API directly?

Ha, I called the directly (via ) and that worked! Pheer my Skillz! I should write down instructions somewhere.

But then it will be embarrassing when someone points out the obvious place in the UI to do it, that I just missed. :D

@ceoln I don't know of a UI way, but you should be able to import a block list csv file you create. It's just the domain name on each line.

@ambihelical
Ooh, sounds like a good idea!
I had fun and figured out how to do it via curl :) and will write up a little post about it.
