@numericcitizen I would add the ‘iCloud’ column to the Finder window, then use that to find the items that are still showing the up-arrow indicating they have not yet uploaded. Move those items to a non-iCloud folder. Wait a minute or two (or better, reboot), then move them back to iCloud.

Apple seems to have switched to calling the iPad “our most versatile device,” which I think is a better way to describe it. It still isn’t the “one device to rule them all”, and probably never will be. I think that’s fine. Apple gives us several great devices and platforms (with more to come).

This looks really cool. What a great way to utilize the strengths of the iPad.

It’s been a great year for powerful iPad apps! (Affinity apps v2, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Logic).

@ljpuk I really hope that is improved in iOS17. I have not installed the betas, so will have to wait for release. But this issue really bothers me!

@joshginter Same here. It’s amazing how great they’ve all become. Steady improvements, with consistent focus on simple, over several years has netted really great apps.

@WarnerCrocker The continued “the iPad is not a Mac” stories kind of fall flat IMO. Sure, there is always room for improvement, but the iPad has become a very capable, yet different device. Its versatility, to me, makes it the best way to get my work done.
