Maybe it's because I gave up coffee, but I'm having a difficult time wrapping my head around the grammar of this sentence. To the point that it isn't clear to me what they're trying to say.

@adam_hume @cyrilpedia The impact paper also relies on the notion that M1 bad, M2 good. In reality macrophages take on a spectrum of phenotypes, and pathology mediated by them is context & phenotype dependent.
