@simonzerafa @bloor Vicars are ordained priests assigned to a church or a group of churches. Bishops govern a Diocese. He'll remain an ordained priest, able to officiate as honorary or assistant bishop.. They also tend to be elevated to the Lords as Life Peers.
Loved this piece by Cherrell Avery, engraving poem by Tim Rich.
"There will never be another you, me: a supernova of mental electricity and soft senses that somehow turn the world outside in
Then, at that time we all come to meet, we'll slip this line of life, back into entropy
gently, letting I and the become indefinitely cosmic as we rejoin our family of dust. So every ambition is settled perfectly"

We will continue to put people first: narrative journalism that illustrates how ordinary citizens are resisting tyranny.
A piece I wrote in January, calling the election for Trump, arguing he won't govern like a fascist but he will be worse than last time: more vengeful, supported by a base with which he has party-like relations and the state retrospectively accepting the Jan 6 coup

@atomicpoet Shows they're unable to connect with those who voted on the idea that T is a strong, moral and clever man, despite all evidence to the contrary.
@urbanfoxe I have just heard some Democrat apparatchik on the radio talking about "Well'll see n four years time if Trump does the things he said in the campaign." Hello? Bit late for that, and we've had 8 years of seeing what he does, in and out of power.
RIP Quincy Jones - such a massive figure and yet I still didn't realise half of the stuff he'd done - The Italian Job soundtrack, for example.
