So confusion maxxed out.
German wikipedia says, Ursa Major consists of 7 stars in the end with Polaris and looks like that [image 1]
On the other hand: English wikipedia and Stellarium says this exact same form is the small bear aka Ursa Minor.
Any ideas?
@dbread from what I am understanding from the German wiki is that ends of the ladle (alpha and beta) point towards Polaris (https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:PolarsternFinden.svg). Ursa Major does not include Polaris, since Polaris is part of Ursa Minor.
@barefootstache thank you, now I see it. Ursa Minor and Ursa Major nearly look the same, but Ursa Major is part of another constellation.
And 5 times the line from Ursa Major's alpha to beta leads to polaris too. 😍
