@Jastej There has been a consensus from the people running the different servers to try to avoid blocking content, with different levels of how strict their allowances are.
Nudity, sex workers posts, escort services, I have seen this scroll by in the Federated feed, a lot of them seemed to come from a certain "instance".
Qoto's policy as stated on the Read Me page is not to block content, which is why you can see that and much worse (hate speech, extreme political and bigotry related posts, etc).
WE as users DO have our own options, some people prefer to be in a place that avoids that content all together by blocking the source. Setting up one's account there is one way to get some sheltering.
Even on a server (or instance) that does not block any instances out there, you DO have a choice. I personally blocked one that I object to, because of their obnoxiousness.
Here's a screenshot showing how to Mute a certain user (just a generic example, anyone that you feel is inappropriate is fine)
You can select "Mute username"to hide their posts in the feeds.
Or, in an extreme case, "Hide everything from domainname" if the instance is annoying you with their content in general (escort posts, nudity, or politically extreme posts, bigotry, etc).
Hope this helps, your feed will now be cleaner and as per your own choices.
