Won't read newspaper, won't turn on the news report channels and then won't worry about the innocent people all over the world getting hurt over and over again by the oppressive governments.
Because these articles and videos bring tears to my eyes. Maybe this way, I'll ignore everything that's happening around me and I'll learn to live like most of human beings that aren't affected by these incidents and issues.
Ignorance is bliss.

But i have no option. I am powerless. I can't help people out there. And i am sick of me being sensitive about it when everyone around me doesn't care.

I can relate to your thoughts above. Times are not good and it can hit our sanity. Do what you need to do to avoid being brought down, it might be a temporary diversion to something more positive to help you heal.

I find that posting here is very beneficial. I love the news and was spending too much time and cycling thru my favourite sources, analyzing non stop.

very solitary endeavour, and we can't do much as a single person. But staying informed is important, just be selective on what sources to use.

For me, these are The Guardian, NY Times, The Atlantic, New Yorker primarily.

@inditoot

@design_RG this is so meaningful. I try to be well informed from right and unbiased sources.

It helps a lot. There's too much noise and a lot of manipulation on some media. Particularly bad are the Right wing extremely polarized places run by the billionaires like Rupert Murdoch (Fox TV, tabloids in the UK, etc)

Or the other idiots on that bandwagon, there's many of them.
