Life imitates

Murphy and CC are hanging out this evening.
Vet visit went well. His doc thinks he has OCD/Anxiety issues which is causing the constant leg licking. He will go on kitty Prozac to see if that helps. Otherwise nothing major of note! ❤️😻

Hi there,

I have learned time and time again that cats are like emotional sponges.
I have found that if I'm looking at what is going on in me, and if I make some changes to resolve the issues, their behaviours and emotions are much better.🐱

Follow

@globcoco That is a nice thought, to keep in mind, Coralie.

I don't have any cats at this moment, had 2 for many years. Then they got sick, and at one point one passed away, which was very hard for me; 6 months later, the other one went over the Rainbow bridge too. I felt desolated, the house so empty. I still get very tender and emotional, tearing up as I remember these last moments.

We had about 12 years together, they were my companions, and gave me consolation, great joy, and the pleasure to admire their nature, their ways. I am not sure what's ahead for me in life, there might be a change that I think it's best not to assume the care of another brother or sister feline. But I have volunteered at a Cat Adoption Center, and that gave me joy, the pleasure of being close to them, so many, different sizes, colours, temperaments.

I use the Black Cat as my avatar here, it's my inner Familiar. I have always been similar to a cat in temperament and ways, actions.

Good morning, just starting the day, and it was a pleasure to do it reading and responding to your message, mon amie.

Hello and welcome to your new day☀️ !
When I met my partner I had a cat who was very feral and aggressive and I think the way the person who gave it to had a huge impact on her. We didn't bond. I learned that she was very sick and that explained her behaviour.
My partner who had 2 cats couldn't have her and I had to give her. It was a very bad experience and I had fear I wouldn't feel fine around cats.

Arghhh 500 words 😉
Another one is coming...

Thanks to Thémis & Athéna I bonded more and more with them and even though it's been an emotional roller coaster (sickness - food adjustments - waking up at nights - death of thémis last year) I felt blessed as I opened my heart.
They are amazing and so different you are right.
