@design_RG @globcoco I briefly ran a friendica server. Its neat, a bit more facebook like — however, its positively ancient feeling. Its like an old php app from early 2k. It looks ugly, its UI is severely dated, it doesn’t have nice fedi features like custom emoji or anything. Lots of stuff is hard to find and annoying to do, and its thread layout is unclear. I shut the server down, the entire UI needs to be completely torn down and modernized and its feature set needs to be brought up to this decade.
