Hello, #Caturday! This is Katla! She is 3 years old, and I adopted her in April of 2020. She is named after one of the most infamous volcanoes in Iceland.

Katla is very friendly and vocal. She loves people and tries to make herself the center of attention at all times. If you were to visit, she'd be in your face immediately. But also be warned, she has no respect for personal space - neither for people, nor for Andreas. I've given up on hoping she'll stop following him into the litterbox...

I’m here to share info. about earthquakes and to learn from other earth and earthquake scientists. At the moment I’m a bit obsessed with seismic swarms! I might occasionally toot about other things… like music 🎶

I have been working to get #eruption information out to people over on the bird app and through media when needed, and helping people learn about our volcanically active planet.
